VOCABULARY - SYNONYMS

1. Desultory - without a clear plan or purpose and showing little effort or interest 

2. Debacle - a complete failure, especially because of bad planning and organization

3. Diffident - shy and not confident of your abilities

4. Entice - to persuade someone to do something by offering them something pleasant

5. Exacerbate - to make something that is already bad even worse

6. Meagre - very small or not enough.

7. Morbid - too interested in unpleasant subjects, especially death

8. Obliterate - to remove all signs of something, either by destroying it or by covering it so that it cannot be seen

9. Perennial - lasting a very long time, or happening repeatedly or all the time

10. Patronize - to speak to or behave towards someone as if they are stupid or not important
