நடப்பு நிதி ஆண்டின் இரண்டாம் காலாண்டில், நாட்டின் ஒட்டுமொத்த உள்நாட்டு உற்பத்தி (ஜிடிபி) 4.8 சதவீதமாக உயர்ந்துள்ளது. முதல் காலாண்டில் 4.4 சதவீதமாக இருந்த நிலை மாறி ஜிடிபி உயர்ந்துள்ளது, நிதி அமைச்சக வட்டாரத்தில் பெரும் நிம்மதியை அளித்துள்ளது.

வேளாண்துறை, உற்பத்தித்துறை, கட்டுமானம் மற்றும் சேவைத் துறைகளின் செயல்பாடு திருப்திகரமாக இருந்ததே இந்த உயர்வுக்குமுக்கியக் காரணமாகும். நடப்பு நிதி ஆண்டின் முதல் காலாண்டில் (ஏப்ரல் முதல் ஜூன் வரை) நாட்டின் பொருளாதார வளர்ச்சி 4.4 சதவீதமாக இருந்தது. கடந்த ஆண்டு ஜூலை முதல் செப்டம்பர் வரையான காலத்தில் வளர்ச்சி விகிதம் 5.2 சதவீதமாக இருந்தது குறிப்பிடத்தக்கது.

• India's first non-bank owned ATM opens in Maharashtra: Tata Communications Payments Solutions Ltd, a wholly owned subsidiary of Tata Communications Ltd, which unveiled the ATM at Chandrapada in Thane district, plans to roll out 15,000 such ATMs by 2016.
Note: Private sector lender Federal Bank announced its tie-up with Tata Communications Payment Solutions Ltd as the sponsor bank to deploy White Label ATMs (WLAs).
